Active and proactive activities of the President of the governorate of Terni on the issues of internationalization of the productive sector of Terni . And in this context that fits the program of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs which led to a diplomatic delegation in Italy for over 28 ambassadors from central Africa and was hosted by the industrial center of Terni , thanks to the careful and sensitive activities of the Chairman Feliciano Polli. We met him and we had some questions about the initiative .

PRESIDENT WE MAY SPEAK OF ” ITALY – AFRICA ” HOSTED BY YOU AND PROMOTED BY THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS .

The program is very interesting and also participated in the initiative by Agriculture Ministers from these countries , which has started an important collaboration in strategic areas for them but he is now back to being strategic for all of us and in which Italy has a lot to say and to bring as an experience . In particular, we have moved as a result of contacts also convivial with African ambassadors , their economic interests of Terni , not directly on agriculture but on some industry sectors of interest to them . In particular, the production of energy from renewable sources, waste treatment , energy production from biomass using waste products of agricultural processing , and then, because this is a bit ‘ a conviction for Africa , the production of materpi the Novamont company where we produce biodegradable plastics that comes from agricultural products and that they are very interested due to the large amount of used plastic bags and disposed of with difficulty .

WHO, THE ECONOMIC INTERESTS , WHICH COUNTRIES HAVE PUSHED SO FAR TO SEND THEIR DIPLOMATIC , RIGHT IN THE INDUSTRIAL AREA OF TERNI ?

Primary interest to those countries and to build partnerships , given the particular situation complicated in the face of their continued growth , and the presence on the territories of appropriate technological innovations . Let me give an example, they have difficulty transferring electricity from one place to another having a need to produce electricity in the various places , for example, that the production of biomass energy from waste treatment with bio-digesters could represent a useful tool for solve the problem on one side of the transposed energy given the on-site production by these plants and other waste disposal .

WE CAN SAY WHAT WERE THE SUBJECT OF PRODUCTION COMAPANY VISIT , AND WHICH OF THESE MAJOR INTEREST IN THE DIPLOMATIC DELEGATION ?

The delegation could see many other interesting companies in Terni , however, then the program for reasons of technical time , and reduced the number of visits . Much appreciated the fact that in Italy they can find the very advanced technologies . The areas of interest in addition to agriculture, certainly the one with the disposal of waste material recovery I take the example of the recovery of used tires that takes place in the district in Nera Montoro realizing how this advanced technology can return them useful . The interest shown in the conference will be realized , that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will organize in autumn, on renewable and environmentally sustainable development . Compared to the centrality of interest on renewable thick was the intervention of Mr Engen. Angelantoni which provided a broader perspective on this subject the result of its companies that produce energy from the sun , in particular that of the central experimental located in Massa Martana that is of international interest. Surely this Ministerial Conference will provide an opportunity for our companies together to be part of and contribute to a project of interest to the African territories to share approaches and procedures for solving problems related to their development. The appointment of the conference will be an important occasion to fall through the ministry to enable the partnerships that are achievable .

WHAT WAS APPROACH OF COMPANIES TOWARDS TERNI DIPLOMATIC DELEGATION?

It was a meeting marked by the canons of normality, with meetings in which it was created immediately a report immediately active in a very clear and concrete and I would say that the culture of our entrepreneurial actually used abroad , has made is that it was very easy comparison using a cutting depth of practical issues . Anything to make active the meeting and was greatly appreciated by the delegation and the other has strengthened the interest of the Terni companies thanks to the intervention of the activities we put in place. Terni , and above us , we are focusing a lot in our area on strengthening manufacturing vocation and the presence of many companies in our industrial structure and external dialogue gives us hope about the possibility of forming bonds with these markets with the possibility to activate exchanges with the will to create solutions to grow and modernize their economic development . They have realized that we have entered a deal with a country with the possibility of managing the problems that may be useful to overcome their major socio-economic difficulties . Let me give an example to the treatment of waste. Given the brevity of the meetings have not had the chance to see the cycle of waste treatment but understood to be entered into a system of government capacity to handle issues that are resolved in a fruitful manner with industrial and economic results .

HOW DID THE IDEA OF LINKING THE INDUSTRIAL AREA OF TERNI WITH THE INITIATIVE OF THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS?

Following a couple of occasions convivial meeting with some of these ambassadors , following which came the idea of the program , I realized that they have a positive disposition in respect of ‘ Italy by focusing on the relationship with us than with other European countries Asian or especially because really appreciate the Italian culture, lifestyle , and the way to approach this positive predisposition and also given the evidence about the possibility of finding the tools to solve problems and this reinforces the tendency to establish solid relationships with the ‘ Italy . Surely as a system of the country , both for the story that our geographical location , we should do more both in the Mediterranean Sea to the countries of the Arab world facing the homonymous sea and towards the countries of sub- Saharan Africa on which there is a great interest to speak and go on which to build an important part of our future.
