JORDAN : CONFERENCE FOR WOMEN’S BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT IN THE MEDITERRANEAN
Dozens of young women took part in a seminar in Amman on business creation under the auspices of the Association of Business Women of the organizations of the Mediterranean ( AFAEMME ) . Aspiring entrepreneurs have learned how to perform market research, carry out legal documents, organize and provide logistical support investments. Organized by Jordan Business Forum , the event aimed to help women make their way into the business world after fulfilling their studies , meetings with successful women entrepreneurs .
The initiative was part of a series of days of women entrepreneurs under the title “Young women as creators of jobs .”
The president of the Jordan Business Forum, Reem Barghoutym stressed the importance of women in the labor market , saying that the young women in Jordan have the ability ‘to deal with its challenges and calling for greater support for young entrepreneurs.
The director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development ( EBRD ) , Heike Harmgart , explained to the participants the importance of these initiatives and opportunities ‘ that the European bank provides for the support of young entrepreneurs. Other participants were a representative of Ahli Microfinance Company and successful entrepreneurs who spoke of their experiences. The data of the Department of Statistics of Amman show that unemployment among Jordanian women and graduates ‘ of 30 per cent , and that women are more than 60 percent of students enrolled in universities ‘ and institutes of higher education.
The draft AFAEMME and ‘ carried out in several Mediterranean countries , including Morocco , the Palestinian Territories and Spain with the support of affiliated organizations , including the Jordan Forum for Business and Professional Women ( Jfbpw ) , the Association des Femmes Chefs d’Entreprise du Maroc ( AFEM ) , the Business and Professional Women Club Ramallah ( Ramallah – Bpw ) and the Catalan Association of Business and Executive Women ( ACEE) .
The AFAEMME and ‘ a federation of associations of women entrepreneurs created in Barcelona in 2002. Currently includes 41 member organizations from 22 countries of the Mediterranean and ‘ a coordinator of the European and Mediterranean business and gener equality projects and ground -breaking research , a platform for women entrepreneurs in the Mediterranean to strengthen gender equality and facilitate women’s access to decision-making positions in the economy.
Decine di giovani donne hanno preso parte ad Amman ad un seminario sulla creazione di imprese sotto il patrocinio dall’Associazione delle organizzazioni delle donne d’affari del Mediterraneo (Afaemme). Aspiranti imprenditrici hanno imparato come compiere ricerche di mercato, svolgere pratiche legali, organizzare supporto logistico e procurare investimenti. Organizzato dal Jordan Business Forum, l’evento aveva l’obiettivo di aiutare le donne a farsi strada nel mondo degli affari dopo avere compiuto i loro studi, attraverso incontri con donne imprenditrici di successo.
L’iniziativa era parte di una serie di giornate della imprenditoria femminile sotto il titolo “Giovani donne come creatrici di posti di lavoro”.
